The Astoria Eagles 2189 is bringing the tropics to the North Coast for a night of fun and fund-raising.

Beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday, the Eagles Lodge at 894 Commercial St. will be transformed into a Hawaiian paradise in honor of visits by State Madam President Frieda Buxton and State Worthy President Don Schliske. Admission will be $10, with all proceeds going to the presidents' charities, domestic abuse prevention and aid to victims and Guide Dogs for the Blind.

A luau feast will include roast pig, lomi lomi salmon, wikiwiki fried rice, teriyaki kabobs, kim chee, chicken adobe, island macaroni salad, mango bread, pupa platter and more.

Entertainment features hula dancers, a limbo contest, hide-the-coconut, conch bowling, spear throwing and "beach" volleyball. The public is welcome.
