LONG BEACH, Wash. - The 25th annual World's Longest Beach Walk or Run is at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15.
This is a noncompetitive event for all ages. Medals will be given to all finishers. There are two courses, a 5K and a 10K. Individual awards will be given to the first five male and first five female finishers in each race. T-shirts are available.
Both races start at 9:30 a.m. at the Long Beach Approach, Bolstad Avenue and the Pacific Ocean. The flat course follows the Pacific Ocean. The award ceremony starts at noon at the Gazebo Park.
There will be a clam chowder feed at 10:45 a.m. along with music and post-race drawing with of prizes. Chowder is free to participants and $2.50 for others.
Register at the Train Depot, N. Third Street and Pacific Way in Long Beach from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 14 or 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday, June 15. Cost is $10 or $20 with T-shirt.
