Astorian DEBRA HAZELETT has an interesting plan: Build a BUTTERFLY GARDEN on the North Coast, preferably in the Astoria area.

So where did they get the idea? “My husband and I visited a place in Victoria a number of years ago,” Debra told the Ear. “Really cool. ‘We need something like that in Oregon,’ we thought.” They were living in Portland at the time, but moved to the North Coast, and did set up a temporary butterfly garden in Seaside, which closed in 2001. Now she feels it’s time to do it again, but with a full-time exhibit. But how?
