“Here is the best picture from the ‘DEXTER’ shoot, shot on Thursday, July 11,” JERRY OLSON told the Ear about his photo, which is shown. “The picture shows the house that was used during filming. This house is located on 51st Street and Birch, in the Alderbrook neighborhood. They also used the Port of Astoria for a morning shoot.”

In case you don’t know, Showtime’s “Dexter” is about Dexter Morgan, played by MICHAEL C. HALL, pictured inset, courtesy of Showtime. “Hiding beneath the mundane exterior of Dexter,” the Showtime website says, “a seemingly shy blood spatter expert for the Miami police, has an obsession with meting out his own twisted brand of justice. Dexter kills according to a strict code ...”

“Only one actor, Michael C. Hall, was present for filming,” Jerry added, “and they used various extras, from the Astoria area.” Hmmm. The Ear wonders which of our local citizens were the extras.
