Aaron Marshall, a 2000 graduate of Warrenton High School, moved to Louisville, Ky., where he and co-designer Jefferey Jackson launched the popular iPhone app Over (http://madewithover.com), which adds text and artwork to photos.
Recently, Aaron moved his headquarters to Capetown, South Africa, and along with representatives from four other South African startups, he was chosen to pitch his business to a group of international investors in a global competition, the U-Start Conference in Milan, Italy. Aaron is pictured in photos from his Twitter feed at https://twitter.com/AaronMarshall
Apparently the trip was well worthwhile. Ventureburn.com reported that Over was named the No. 1 startup of the 18 ventures that competed (http://tinyurl.com/overwins). By winning, Aaron will become part of the U-Start international investment road show, giving him a chance to meet and pitch Over to even more international investors and venture capitalists.
It felt a little surreal to be sharing our story with a group of influencers from all over the planet in a sophisticated, beautiful city, Aaron told Ventureburn. The people behind U-start put on a great event. We made some connections that could be hugely beneficial to our mission.
