SEASIDE - Debbie Sherman of Cullaby Lake will sign copies of "Jenessa's Journey" from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at A Whale of a Tale, 203 Avenue A.

When she was four months pregnant Sherman found out that the baby she was carrying had a sever heart defect and Down syndrome. However, she discovered that Down syndrome isn't a death sentence, but an amazing gift of life.

Sherman takes the reader through the delivery room, the hospital rooms, the operating rooms and into her life as she watches her child touch the lives of everyone around her. Enter into the neonatal world of care with a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner as she discusses Jenessa's early days.
