At 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, the Clatsop County Historical Society hosts an open house at the Capt. George Flavel House Museum for anyone interested in learning about the many volunteer opportunities at the Flavel House and the Heritage Museum.

Museum staff will give attendees an introduction to the society and present a variety of ways in which volunteers can help the CCHS fulfill its mission. Attendees will also learn about the volunteer positions available as docents or trained tour guides, in the museum gift shops, assisting curatorial staff in the Research Center and Archives or assisting with special events.

Join CCHS staff for a relaxing visit and meet with "veteran" volunteers to find out what they like about being a volunteer for the Clatsop County Historical Society. Call (503) 325-2203 for information.
