Donald E. Chittick will be the guest speaker for the 6 p.m. Sunday service at Lewis and Clark Bible Church, located 2.5 miles south of Miles Crossing, off Lewis and Clark Road, on Seppa Lane.
Chittick's seminar is based on his book, "The Puzzle of Ancient Man," pictured left. "Was ancient man simple and primitive as we have been taught, or did the level of science and technology existing thousands of years ago rival, or even surpass, the level of ours today?" he asks in his presentation. Chittick's talk will help listeners discover how the Bible provides a basis for answering puzzling questions about ancient man and the origins of civilization.
Chittick holds a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Oregon State University and has taught at the University of Puget Sound and George Fox College. A contributor to several books and periodicals, he has lectured on the creation/evolution topic throughout the past two decades, both in the United States and abroad. As an inventor, he holds several U.S. and foreign patents and is active in the area of alternative fuels.
Sunday's seminar is free and open to the public. For information, call Lewis and Clark Bible Church at 325-7011.
