On June 20, tens of thousands of children and adults at aquatic facilities around the world, including the Astoria Aquatic Center in Astoria and the Sunset Pool in Seaside, will unite for the fifth year in a row to set a new Guinness World Record for The WorldÂ’s Largest Swimming Lesson.

Locally, the event will take place at 8 a.m. at both pools, which will serve as official host location facilities for the 2014 event. Registration can be taken at both locations, either in person or by phone. To register at the Astoria Aquatic Center, call 503-325-7027; to register at the Sunset Pool, call 503-738-3311.
