SEASIDE - The students of Maddox Dance Studio will present two recitals, one at 1 p.m. and one at 6 p.m. Saturday June 15 at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center, 415 First Ave.

Students from age 4 through adult will be presented in a wide variety of choreographed dances by Maddox Dance faculty headed by Jeanne Maddox Peterson.

There will be 34 dance presentations in the 1 p.m. show and 39 in the 6 p.m. show.

The Little Ballet Theatre Senior Group will stage excerpt from "Graduation Ball," which was first staged in Sydney, Australia in 1940, with music by Strauss. The story centers on a gala party hosted by a private girls school who invite the cadets from the nearby military school.

The Headmistress of the girls school will be danced by Laura Martin, a junior at Astoria High School and the General of the Military School will be danced by Joel Hathaway, a sophomore at Seaside High School. The Precocious Pigtail Girl is danced by Tracie Nygaard, a sophomore at Knappa High School and the Lead Girl is danced by Sara Strite, a sophomore at Seaside High School. The Pouette Girl is Angela West, sophomore at Seaside High School. A Pas De Deux will be danced by Brandon Hernandez, a sophomore at Astoria High School and Eliza Barbic of Warrenton.

The finale will feature a patriotic theme with dances and songs sung by dancers Courtney Callaway, Sarah Shepherd, Kimmy Murry, Sabrina Barbic, Eliza Barbic, Sina Fastabend and Sydney Deifka.

Admission is $7 for each show. Children 12 and younger are admitted free. Each performance lasts 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
