TILLAMOOK — The Oregon Department of Forestry has announced the receipt of a Yamaha Off-Highway Vehicle Access Initiative Guaranteeing Responsible Access to our Nation’s Trails (GRANT) of $15,400, which paid for the artwork and printing of the new Tillamook State Forest OHV trail guides.

The funds will also provide new signage for the Tillamook State Forest trail system.

Containing a large fold-out color map displaying a detailed map of the OHV trail system, general information on OHV operator and vehicle requirements, and links to more detailed trail and rider requirement information, the new trail guides are now are available for free at the Forest Grove and Tillamook ODF offices. They are also being distributed by most Oregon and Southwest Washington Yamaha dealers, the Tillamook Chamber of Commerce and at other locations.

The trail guide and trail route data for GPS users are also available online at www.oregon.gov/odf/tillamookstateforest/pages/ohvtrails.aspx.
