CANNON BEACH - The Cannon Beach Arts Association's free Summer Concerts in the Park program kicks off with the North Coast Symphonic Band's Fourth of July concert, 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 4.

The remainder of the concerts in the series are held from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Pack a picnic and a blanket and bring the family to the Cannon Beach City Park for some great music. Upcoming performances include:

Sunday, July 9 - Mariachi Viva Mexico, authentic mariachi music

Sunday, July 23 - Floating Glass Balls, folk, bluegrass and more

Sunday, Aug. 6 - Chris Parker Band, jazz

Sunday, Aug. 20 - Circled by Hounds, traditional and contemporary Irish music

Sunday, Sept. 3 - Bond Street Blues Band, blues and R&B

Sponsors for this year's Concerts in the Park are Coaster Construction, Haystack Lodgings, Bill's Tavern & Brew House, Warren House Pub, Robin Risley and Tommy Huntington of Windermere Properties, Tina Chapman, Pat Funk and Dale Shafer of Windermere Properties, Duane Johnson Realty, Geppetto's Toys and the City of Cannon Beach through the Parks and Community Services grant program.
