This year's Clatsop County Master Gardeners' Spring Garden Seminar is titled, "On the Trail of Garden Discovery." Keynote speaker is Lucy Hardiman, garden designer. Her topic is "What Color Is Your Garden?"

There will also be sessions on garden design, tree selection, therapeutic benefits of gardening, and plants that attract birds and butterflies to the garden. Other features will include pictures of demo gardens, user friendly tools, a raffle, plant sale, and vendors on site.

The Spring Garden Seminar is from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17 at the Clatsop County Fairgrounds. The registration fee for the seminar is $15 until April 9, and $18 after April 9. Call Oregon State Extension at 325-8573 for a registration form. The Master Gardeners' Spring Seminar is sponsored by AFLAC of Astoria, LUMS Auto Center and Essential Mortgage Loan Services.
