CANNON BEACH - "Greater Tuna" opens the Coaster Theatre's Summer Repertory Season with a champagne and hors d'oeuvres reception on opening night, Friday, May 26. Tickets for opening night are a special price of $12 each.

Radio announcers Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie of Radio Station OKKK bring to the stage the entire population of Tuna, the third-smallest town in Texas. In this hilarious sendup of small-town mores, actors Donald Conner, Patrick Morrison and TJ Newton alternate roles to create 20 howlingly funny residents of Tuna through quick-change artistry. Victoria Pohl directs. The production is made possible by sponsors O'Brien Constructors and Stoel Rives, LLP.

"Greater Tuna" plays at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights through June 10, with a 7 p.m. show Sunday, June 28. On June 16, "Nunsense" opens and enters the repertory season, followed by "Morning's at Seven" July 6. The three plays will then show alternating evenings, Wednesdays through Sundays.

Individual tickets are $14 to $18; a Summer Repertory Season ticket is $40 for all three plays. For information and reservations, call the box office at (503) 436-1242.
