Open house and Maypole celebration slatedFire Mountain School is holding its annual Spring Raffle and Benefit Party May 8 at the Nehalem Fire Hall in Nehalem.
This year's grand prize features a trip for two to New Zealand worth $4,000 and $250 cash with follow-up prizes of a $500 gift certificate to Sharon Amber Fine Jewelry, $200 lodging at Sunriver Resort and a $100 gift certificate to The Blue Sky Cafe in Manzanita. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. with live music by Kid Siegel, The Heather Christie Band and Ebon and the Small Town All Stars. There will be food, drinks and many door prizes. Admission is free for individuals and couples with a raffle ticket or $7 for those without a raffle ticket. The event is for ages 18 and older.
Raffle tickets are $40 each or three for $100 and can be purchased at ticket locations throughout the area as well as Fire Mountain School (503) 436-2610 or (www.firemountainschool.org)
Five hundred raffle tickets will be sold. All profits benefit Fire Mountain School which is a nonprofit entity serving children ages 3 through 10.
Fire Mountain School will host an open house and Maypole Celebration from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 1. The Maypole Celebration will begin at 1:30 p.m. There will be games and activities for children, refreshments and information about registering for the 2004-05 school year.
