RAIN Magazine, Clatsop Community College's annual student literary magazine, is accepting submissions through Jan. 10.

In honor of the 2005-06 Corps of Discovery Commemoration, RAIN presents a special edition exploring the theme "Spirit of Discovery." Diverse reflections on the Lewis and Clark Expedition are welcome, including creative documentation of local Destination: The Pacific festivities. The magazine also welcomes diverse interpretations on the theme - poems, prose, and artwork that explore the ongoing role of discovery in our contemporary North Coast and Long Beach Peninsula lifestyle.

Submissions will be accepted from the public as well as from CCC students. Please submit no more than three written works. Prose (fiction or nonfiction) should be typed and double-spaced. Be sure to include name, address, e-mail and phone number on each title page. Artwork can arrive as quality reproductions, or deliver originals to the Jerome Avenue campus in Astoria, Room 3 of Fertig Hall.

Mail submissions to Nancy Cook, Advisor, RAIN Magazine, Clatsop Community College, 1653 Jerome Ave., Astoria, OR 97103
