LONGVIEW, Wash. - Internationally acclaimed a capella vocal group Rockapella will kick off the Kirkpatrick Family Care Summer Concert Series at the Lake Thursday, July 8.

Best known for their five seasons of "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?" and the highly successful Folgers Coffee commercial, the band has done multiple television appearances and performed to sold-out concert halls across the country year-round. Rockapella, exclusively sponsored by Northern Lights, is the first of the seven-concert series coordinated by Long-view-Kelso Parks and Recreation. Concerts are held at Martin's Dock in Lake Sacajawea Park from 6 to 8 p.m. Bring blankets and picnic dinners; food service will also be available. If it rains, Rockapella will perform at the Columbia Theater for the Performing Arts.

The concert series is made possible by donations and support from Kirkpatrick Family Care, Northern Lights Bingo, The Monticello Restaurant, KLOG/KUKN, The Daily News, Red Lion Hotel and ABC Printers. For information about upcoming concerts, call (360) 442-5409.
