GCaptain reports that the Port of Los Angeles has been invaded by ... a giant yellow rubber duck (http://tinyurl.com/LAducky). OK, not really invaded. It’s a 60-foot tall art installation, aptly named Rubber Duck, by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman. The cosmopolitan quacker has traveled the world, and its creator insists it has “no frontiers” and “healing properties: it can relieve mondial tensions as well as define them.”
The Ear hopes the duck will head north – wouldn’t it look grand sailing up the Columbia? And it might even scare the cormorants off East Sand Island.
