Scores attended the annual Seaside Safety Fair held Saturday at the Seaside Fire Department.

Seaside Police Chief Bob Gross said that the Seaside Police Department will give a bike helmet to any child that needs one. All they need to do is go to the Police Department at 1091 S. Holladay with a parent and ask for a helmet. The helmets are provided by donations from various sources.

Members of the Tsunami Awareness Group took part in the event. Other safety subjects discussed were bike, pedestrian, electrical and poison safety. Also child safety seats were checked, bicyclists had a course to maneuver and the Oregon Health Plan had information on its childrenÂ’s health plan.
