Kids can learn about shorebirds of the Columbia River estuary at Scuttlebutt Saturday, the monthly children's program of the Columbia River Maritime Museum, 1792 Marine Drive.

From noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 1, youngsters will learn how to identify some of the birds on the river, "build" a bird and participate in a family scavenger hunt as they discover migration patterns and adaptations to food and resting sources.

The program is free with paid admission to the museum - $8 for adults, $7 for seniors, $4 for ages 6-17 and $20 for families.
