Two valedictorians and a salutatorian will be honored along with their classmates during commencement exercises for Seaside High School, at 8 p.m. Monday at the Seaside Convention Center.

ValedictoriansEmma FentonEmma Fenton, 18, is the daughter of John and Carol Fenton. She was the freshman class secretary, junior class treasurer and is the senior class president. She is a member of the National Honor Society and is involved in model United Nations, theater, art and track and field. She was honored with an Academic Achievement Award. One of her works of art was selected for display at George Fox University. She plans to attend the University of Oregon, majoring in nursing. Scholarships she has received are the Elks Scholarship and University of Oregon Dean's Scholarship.

SalutatorianKathryn AyresKathryn Ayres, 18, is the daughter of Harry and Barbara Ayres. She is editor of the yearbook, senior class vice president, former junior class vice president, a member of the National Honor Society and is involved in student tutoring, model United Nations and the March of Dimes. She was named a Cowapa League Scholar Athlete and was the HOBY Foundation runner-up. Ayres is a a four-year varsity athlete in softball and soccer, earning Second Team All-League distinctions in softball, and First Team All-League and Second Team All-District honors in soccer. She also played one year of varsity basketball. She plans to attend the University of California - Davis, studying preveterinarian medicine.

Vito CerelliVito Cerelli is the son of Bob and Sandy Cerelli. He has been a student body officer for four years, a member of the National Honor Society and a participant in model United Nations. He is a four-year varsity athlete in basketball, earning All-League recognition his junior and senior years, a three-year varsity athlete in soccer, for which he was named to the All-League team. Cerelli was a three-year varsity baseball player and received All-League pitcher and short-stop honors, and was an All-State honorable mention pitcher. He is undecided about his future plans. He may want to study art, graphic design or architecture. He received the Jerry Westerholm Athletic/Academic Scholarship.
