SEASIDE - Nothing brings back memories and puts the holiday spirit in your heart like a delicious holiday treat. Have a heaping helping of holiday cheer at the Seaside Museum and Historical Society's annual Gingerbread Tea, taking place from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 17 at Butterfield Cottage, 570 Necanicum Drive.
Nosh on gingerbread with topping, hot spiced cider, hot chocolate or tea as you enjoy seasonal tunes by Astoria harpist Mark Mathre. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and younger, and includes a tour of the museum.
Visitors can also purchase raffle tickets to win a 51-inch-by-58-inch Lewis and Clark quilt, sewn by Micki Towell and quilted by Janis Hurd. Quilt raffle tickets are $5 each. The drawing will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.
Another drawing will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, for a variety of other raffle items, including a lighted Arctic cube, a holiday floral arrangement from The Natural Nook, a hand-blown ornament from John Cook Gallery, a gift certificate to Granderson's Tea by the Sea and two tickets to the Coaster Theatre's 2005-06 season.
