Seaside United Methodist Women will be honoring their "80's Ladies," members more than 80 years old, at a special gathering Wednesday. The potluck luncheon held at the United Methodist Church, 241 N. Holladay Drive, will have music, fun and fellowship. Everyone is welcome to participate in honoring the ladies.

As the school year winds down, it is an exciting time for all the children of the Head Start Program. For at least 14 years, the Seaside United Methodist Women have

been providing a handmade bag for each graduating student of Head Start. This year they will contribute 36 bags to help each child feel good about their accomplishment. Each bag contains a

spiral notebook, two pencils and a package of crayons. The outreach has helped a lot of children over the years and church has heard from various children that they have kept their bags as a memento for many years.
