The Astor Street Opry presents the fourth annual "Shanghaied In Astoria" St. Urho and St. Patrick's Day performances Thursday, March 13 through Saturday, March 15 at the Finnish Meat Market, 279 W. Marine Drive.

This annual production honors the Finnish patron Saint of Grass Hoppers, St. Urho, and his Irish counterpart the Patron saint of Crickets St. Patrick.

Come laugh, cry, cheer and throw popcorn, at some of your favorite local characters as they once again, come together for this original and locally produced musical melodrama.

Dinner is served at 6:45 p.m. and includes the best corn beef and cabbage in town by the chef of the Worker's Bar & Grill. Dinner is $8, and the show is $15. Beer, wine and popcorn will also be available. Doors for the show open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

There will be pot of gold raffle featuring "Get Away Packages" from local bed and breakfasts, hotels and dinners for two from local restaurants.

This ASOC fund-raiser supports the newly-developed "Theatre Education Fund" that sponsors theater education classes in the Northwest region.
