Locals and tourists can take themselves on a self-tour of the seven participating galleries during "Arts Night Out" from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 15 followed by a gathering at the Liberty Theater with music and refreshments from 8 to 9 p.m. The following is a quick listing of the featured exhibits during the art walk:
Astoria Visual Arts Gallery,
108 10th St.The gallery will feature four artists: Painter Susan Planalp, printmakers Liza Jones and Paul Miller, drawings by Elizabeth Serreau. Music will be provided by Luke Ydstie and Dick Weissman.
1296 Commercial St.The gallery specializes in landscaped and fine art photography. All of the photography is original and processed in house.
Pacific Rim Gallery,
No. 1 12th St. Suite 102Collage by Betty Lofquist and bronze sculpture by Paul R. Gillum is featured during the art walk and for the month of June.
The Compleat Photographer,
475 14th St.The 15 members of the North Coast Calligraphy Guild will have calligraphy arts on display.
Old Town Framing,
1287 Commercial St.Photographer Skye McKey will display an eclectic mix of black and white and color, figure study and landscape interpretation. McKey has been processing her own work for more than 15 years.
The Hair Gallery,
338 12th St.Neo-Pop Abstractions and ink on paper by K. A. Hughes will be featured.
1160 Commercial St.
The "Studio IV" exhibit features paintings by Denis Bourland, Rhonda Burke, Tim Dalrymple, Eric Swenson. These artists all currently lease space in the old cannery building. Music by Brian O'Connor from Ocean Park, Wash. will be featured during the art walk.
