Rattling the rafters of the Clatsop Community College Performing Arts Center, the annual Tap Festival features dancers from Maddox Dance Studio and guest performers from Hollywood Dance Center in Portland in a fun and fanciful performance at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 1.

Performers of all ages will present tap numbers from Vaudeville to Broadway. A special feature will be an audience participation segment for all interested in joining the dancers on stage for a quick tap lesson taught by Ron Smith, Alice Thompson and Andrea Kaul, faculty members at Maddox. The event is directed by Jeanne Peterson, owner of Maddox Dance Studio, who serves as one of two Oregon delegates for National Dance Week.

Tickets are $10 for general admission, $7 for seniors and students, and $5 for children 12 and younger. The Performing Arts Center is located at 16th Street and Franklin Avenue in Astoria.
