Ziji Beth Goren leads "Voice, Movement and the Immune System," a workshop from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 13 and 14, at the Center for Spiritual Living of the North Coast, 1 Portway St., second floor.
According to Goren, song and sounding qualities guide and generate our movement and refuel our sounds. Cellular vibration and intention supports the immune system, carrying practitioners to new beginnings, she said. Goren has devoted the past 29 years to understanding and applying voice-movement practices to the Body-Mind Centering systems and world and tribal culture.
Workshop participants will "try on" qualities of sound relating to immune functions - steadying, embracing, recognizing, dissolving and stimulating - and some attention will be paid to hands-on immune organs in partners. Cost is $70. For information or to register, call (503) 338-2946.
Goren will also be speaking on "Healing Sounds" at the Center for Spiritual Living's 10:30 a.m. Sunday celebration Sept. 12. CSLNC is a New Thought Metaphysical Center.
