Moms, dads, children and babies can all enjoy a stroll on the RiverWalk this weekend while they raise funds for breastfeeding support and education.

La Leche League of Astoria is participating in the annual World Walk for Breastfeeding, an international event. Walkers will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of the Astoria Children's Museum, 2968 Marine Drive, and walk the RiverWalk to the Columbia River Maritime Museum and back (about one mile). A sack lunch picnic will follow.

Many families usually participate together, said organizer Janet Weidman. Children and babies are welcome. The public may join the walk or make financial contributions to La Leche League's mission to support and educate breastfeeding mothers. For information, call Weidman at 325-1306 or Liz Pietila at 338-0208.
