Burnham-AndersonMegan P. Burnham or Hillsboro, daughter of Karen H. Burnham of Hillsboro, exchanged wedding vows with Charles L. Anderson of Hillsboro, Oct. 18, 2003, at Nottingham's in Sherwood. He is the son of Karen Anderson of Warrenton.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Michael Burnham. The bride wore a Celtic-style organza A-line dress with cap sleeves and beaded bodice. The ceremony was held outside in an English garden setting, held at sunset, illuminated by candlelight. A live harp and flute duo played Celtic music during the ceremony. The reception had a fall/wine/Celtic theme.
Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Tracy Burnham of Seattle. E.J. Yi of Arlington, Texas, was the bridesmaid.
The best man was Jayson Holmstedt of Astoria, and groomsman was Casey Woolley of Salem.
The bride received a bachelor's degree in anthropology from the University of Iowa in 1997 and a master's degree in forensic archaeology at University College London in 2001. She is a criminalist for the Washington County Sheriff's office.
The groom received a bachelor's degree in law enforcement at Western Oregon University in 1996 and is a deputy sheriff for the Washington County Sheriff's office.
The couple honeymooned in St. Lucia, West Indies.
The couple lives in Hillsboro.
