Chariarse-JosephsonErika Chariarse of Portland, daughter of Eduardo and Mercedes Chariarse of Cusco, Peru, exchanged vows with Gregory Josephson of Portland Aug. 21, 2004 in Vancouver, Wash. The groom is the son of Michael and Linda Josephson of Astoria.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Eduardo Chariarse. Clergywoman B.M. Perry performed the ceremony. The bride wore a full-length satin princess gown and veil made by her mother. The honored guest was the groom's 96-year-old grandmother, Frances Youngbeck of Port Orchard, Wash.

Maid of honor was Jennifer Chariarse of Vancouver. Bridesmaids were Greta Josephson and Darmiya and Jessica Chariarse, all of Portland.

Best man was John Lovin of Fort Lewis, Wash. Groomsmen were Eric Fridley, Eric Schott, Chris Littrell and Nels Swenson, all of Portland.

A reception was held Oct. 2 in Astoria.

The couple honeymooned in Redwood National Park, San Francisco and Lake Tahoe, Nev.

The couple plans to make their home in Portland.

The bride graduated from San Antonio Abad del Cusco National University in 1998.

The groom graduated from Willamette University in 1995. He owns Upspring Design Web Development in Portland.
