Music business discussed Saturday afternoonClatsop Community College's Arts and Ideas Program presents a concert, "Women on the Edge, Too," featuring local performers Heather Christie and Andrea Rowe, at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Performing Arts Center, 16th and Franklin, Astoria. Tickets cost $10, $7 and $5.

"The Music Business," a presentation on business aspects of the entertainment business, is from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the PAC. The $10 fee includes a $1 off coupon for the evening concert.

During both events, those in attendance may enjoy "Art Inspired by Music," an exhibit featuring original paintings and tapestries by Astoria pianist Jennifer Goodenberger; calligraphy by John Rippey; mixed media collage by Grant Wood; digital photography by CCC Dean of Continuing Education, Kitty Paino; and traditional photography by Heidie Johnson.

Advance tickets for CCC's Arts and Ideas series are available at Old Town Framing, CCC Library, CCC South Campus and at the PAC box office, one hour before each event. For credit card reservations, call 338-2473 before 4 p.m. today.
