The Lower Columbia Human Resource Management Association will hold its annual fundraiser for the Society for Human Resource Management Foundation on Wednesday, April 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Tongue Point Job Corps Center Bistro, 37573 Old Highway 30 in Astoria.


The meeting topic, "A Complaint Free Workplace," will be presented by Deborah Jeffries. Jeffries, Vice President of HR Answers and manager of the firm's Willamette Valley office, has 18 years experience in the human resources field and is a certified professional consultant.


She holds a Bachelors of Science degree in psychology and a teaching certificate from Willamette University.


According to a LCHRMA press release, Jeffries is a consultant who works with clients on their employment compliance, handbooks, policy manuals, recruitment processes, and training needs. As a trainer, she works with organizations on the employment process, recruitment, orientation, performance, recognition, discharge, customer service, marketing strategies, and improved communication styles.


The cost to attend the meeting is $20 and includes a buffet lunch. Advance registration is required by Monday, March 16. Space is limited. Register at www.lchrma.org.
