Astoria dispatchers receive an accidental or hang-up 911 call from time to time.

But Sunday, an accidental dial turned into an arrest of a woman in possession of methamphetamines and a warrant out for her arrest from the state parole board.

At 3:40 p.m. Sunday, Astoria Dispatch received a 911 hang-up call.

When a dispatcher called the number back, they reached Heather Shannon Walker, 46, who said she was near the Pig ’N Pancake and had accidentally called 911. She said she didn’t have an emergency.

But Walker had a warrant out for her arrest from the state parole board, the dispatcher learned. So officers arrived and arrested Walker.

She was taken to the Clatsop County Jail, where it was discovered she had two bags of meth in her bra. She was arrested on the warrant and possession of a controlled substance for meth.
