WARRENTON - The Clatsop Animal Shelter is experiencing an unusually high influx of unwanted dogs and cats. There is a shortage of kennel volunteers and the shelter is at maximum capacity.

If loving homes and volunteers are not found soon, room will have to be made at the shelter for newer arrivals.

Animals of all ages are available, as well as a number of breeds. An adoption application and listings for several of the dogs and cats available for adoption can be found at (www.dogsncats.org).

The Clatsop County Animal Shelter is located at 1315 S.E. 19th St. in Warrenton and is open from noon to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The adoption fee for dogs is $75 and $55 for cats. Call 861-7387 for more information.
