The Astoria Aquatic Center will have holiday hours today and be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving Day. Today, the aquatic center will be open from noon to 4 p.m., with lap swim from noon to 1 p.m. and recreation swim from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

On Friday, the aquatic center will be open with regularly scheduled hours, and will also have an additional three-hour School's Out Swim for kids and families from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The center is also offering a children's arts and crafts session on Saturday, where kids can make Christmas crafts before an afternoon swim. Registration and a class fee is required for the class.

Astoria High School Swim Team will be hosting the Andrew Nygaard Memorial swim meet on Saturday, Dec. 4, which will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. The center will be open to the public following the meet, with additional lanes in the lap pool open to lap swimmers after 2 p.m. that day.
