On June 25, anyone who is interested can hop on their motorcycle and participate in the 10th annual Around Saddle Mountain Poker Run, put on by the North Coast American Bikers Aimed Toward Education (ABATE) of Oregon.
Interested riders should meet at Rob's Restaurant in Seaside at 9 a.m. for registration and to pay a $15 fee that covers entry and the barbecue at the end.
The group will leave at 10 for the first stop, the Worker's Tavern in Astoria. Once they arrive, everyone will draw one card and proceed to the next destination, Colvin's Pub and Grill in Clatskanie, for their next card.
After that, the Lion's Den in Vernonia, Oney's Restaurant and Bar in Elsie, and the Relief Pitcher in Seaside will each be hit. The trip will end at the Relief Pitcher for a barbecue and raffle.
The person with the best poker hand at the end of the run will win a prize. All proceeds go to ABATE's efforts to purchase Christmas gifts for the Wishing Tree program in Pacific County. Last year, the run raised more than $13,000 for gifts for 300 kids.
