GEARHART - Children who love to explore their creativity can create, experiment and work together on group projects at the Trail's End Art Camp, July 6 through 29.

Yvonne Edwards and other members of the Trail's End Art Association supervise the children's art activities, which involve painting, pastels, printing, mosaics, drawing, mural painting and clay sculpture.

Edwards is an art therapist with 18 years experience working with children and families. She believes that creativity includes originality, imagination, inspiration, inventiveness, ingenuity, resourcefulness and vision - qualities that can be enhanced in every child through art activities.

An exhibit of the students' work will be held July 29 at the Trail's End Art Center, 656 A St.

A morning group (9:30 a.m. to noon) is for children ages 7 to 9. Children ages 10 to 12 meet from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Classes meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tuition is $55; you may also register by the week. Scholarships may be available.

To register, call Edwards at (503) 338-7202. Registration deadline is June 24.
