Dr. Dennis M. Klemp of Astoria received the Academy of General Dentistry's Fellowship Award in a convention ceremony held during the academy's annual meeting July 10 in Anaheim, Calif.

Klemp completed 500 hours of continuing dental education, passed a written exam and fulfilled five years of continuous membership with the academy.

Klemp graduated from Oregon Health Sciences University in 1991 and practices in Astoria. He is a member of the Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the American Dental Association.

The Academy of General Dentistry is a nonprofit organization dedicated to staying up-to-date in the profession through continuing education.
