SEASIDE - Bid results for the Avenue U street improvement project will be heard by the Seaside City Council at 6:45 p.m. Monday at City Hall. The public is invited to attend.

Big River Excavation is the probable lowest bidder at $860,751, Seaside Public Works Director Neal Wallace said. Workers will fix the pavement, upgrade the sewer lines and some of the individual water lines, install new street lights and bury power lines underground. Crews will also install a stormwater collector.

"The water goes in the low spots, puddles up and makes a mess," Wallace said.
