Most of the local Babe Ruth and Cal Ripken League teams will be in action this weekend, with tournaments scheduled for Astoria, McMinnville and Dallas.
The Lower Columbia 10-year-old All-Stars will take part in a Cal Ripken League tournament in Dallas, with their first game at 8 a.m. Saturday morning. Teams from Salem, Portland, Dallas, Newberg and Sandy will be competing.
The Astoria Babe Ruth 13-year-old and 15-year-old All-Stars are hosting a tournament Saturday and Sunday at Aiken Field.
The Astoria 13's open play at 12:30 p.m. Saturday against Southeast Portland, then will play two games Sunday (vs. Seaside, 9:30 a.m.; Newberg, 7:30 p.m.). The Astoria 15's are scheduled to play Saturday (vs. Newberg 14's, 10 a.m.) and two games Sunday vs. the Southeast Portland 15's (noon and 2:30 p.m.).
Seaside's 13-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars will take on Newberg at 5 p.m. Sunday at Aiken Field.
Astoria's 14-year-old Babe Ruth All-Stars travel to McMinnville for the "Max" Baseball Tournament. Astoria will play a pair of games Saturday at Linfield College (vs. McMinnville, 1 p.m.; Dallas, 4 p.m.), before finishing up at 11 a.m. Sunday morning against Sheridan, at Patton Field.

The Gulls are scheduled to host doubleheaders Monday (5 p.m., vs. Tillamook) and Tuesday (5 p.m., vs. Astoria) at Broadway Field.
