The Astoria Baha’i community will observe the Festival of Ridvan at 3 p.m. Saturday at 300 W. Irving Ave.

The word “Ridvan” means paradise, and is named for the Garden of Ridvan outside of Baghdad where the religion’s founder, Baha’u’llah, stayed for 12 days after the Ottoman Empire exiled him. For directions, call (503) 325-1091 or (503) 325-9854.
