Bank of Astoria recently announced that Genny Butenshon has been named to the position of branch manager of its Astoria Branch. Butenshon will be responsible for business development, consumer lending and overseeing all branch activities.
Butenshon began her career with Bank of Astoria over 14 years ago as a part-time teller. During her career she has held various positions at the bank such as retail, operations, accounting, assistant vice-president/controller and human resources director. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Music degree. She also holds a Professional in Human Resources Certification and has had various training through the Oregon Bankers Association.
Erik Selden was recently named Assistant Vice President for the bank. He will continue with his role as a commercial banking officer, developing new relationships in the coastal market while managing his current client portfolio.
Selden has over three years experience in the banking industry. Prior to joining Bank of Astoria in November he was a Commercial Lender for MBank in Lake Oswego, Ore., and US Bank in the Portland-Metropolitan area. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and a minor in psychology from Portland State University, and is currently working toward the completion of his MBA at Portland State University.
Bank of Astoria also announced the promotion of Joyce Stuber, assistant vice-president and commercial banking officer.
Stuber will take on the role of assisting large and small business clients with their banking and business goals. She will be located at the Seaside Bank of Astoria branch.
Stuber began her banking career at the Bank of Astoria five years ago. She began as a credit analyst and later worked as a commercial loan officer. She previously worked as employee development manager and lending trainer for the bank.
She is a graduate of Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, and holds a Bachelor of Science in business management.
Mark Miller was recently named vice-president and private banking officer for Bank of Astoria. His role for the bank will be that of financial advisor, managing his client's portfolios.
Miller will work with other relationship managers and financial professionals within the bank to ensure clients are provided total wealth management solutions such as wealth creation, growth, or preservation and distribution.
Miller has worked in the financial industry for the past 20 years. His experience includes underwriting, training, collections, operations management, and branch management. His most recent position was in the Private Mortgage Banking group at Wells Fargo. He is a graduate of the University of Washington and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Public relations. He is also Series 6 and 63 licensed for securities and has current licenses for life, health, property and casualty insurance in both Washington and Oregon.
