SEASIDE - Three Warrenton pitchers combined to limit Seaside to just three hits Wednesday night, in a nonleague baseball game at Broadway Field.

The Warriors opened up a close game with three runs in the top of the fourth, on their way to a 4-1 win over the Gulls.

Michael Moore, Dan Wolfe and Eric Gantenbein combined on the mound for Warrenton, which will play a league playoff Saturday vs. either Vernonia or Rainier, tentatively scheduled for 2 p.m. at Warrenton. The winner of Saturday's game will be the league's No. 2 seed to the state playoffs, the loser will be the No. 3 seed.

"I was very pleased with our pitching," said Warrenton coach Lennie Wolfe. "Michael Moore did a super job - he gave us what we wanted and we got through their lineup unscathed."

Sal Oros, Alec Carlson and Jeremy Carow pitched well for the Gulls, holding Warrenton to six hits.

Seaside hosts Sweet Home in a first-round state playoff Friday, tentatively scheduled at 6 p.m.
