A Beaverton police officer is facing charges for the alleged rape of a family member. Christopher Warren was arrested Wednesday afternoon at a home in Vancouver. Kim Kapp is with the Vancouver Police Department.
She explained, "Detectives from the Children's Justice Center are working on an investigation into the rape of a five-year-old child who is related to the suspect. Christopher Warren is a Vancouver resident at that home. He was arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail."
Kapp says the investigation is in the early stages, so she's unable to explain much about the case.
Warren is facing other problems. He's on paid administrative leave from the Beaverton Police, pending an internal investigation into a food stamp fraud case. Warren pleaded not guilty, and had a court date scheduled for next week in that case.
