BEAVERTON - The Jewell boys basketball team played hard, but came up short in two games in the Southwest Christian Challenge Friday and Saturday.

The Jays lost the opening game of the tournament, 75-41, to Horizon Christian. Jewell sophomore Dalton Blanchard had 13 rebounds to go with four points.

Blanchard had nine points and 12 rebounds Saturday, in a 52-39 loss to Southwest Christian. Ryan Harhart led Jewell with 13 points, all in the first half.
