Clatsop County Road Crews will be working on Brownsmead Dike Road repairing the bridge approaches.

Surface rock will be added to Simonsen Road, and mowing will begin in the Svensen area, also on Youngs River and Lewis and Clark roads.

There will be excavating/shoulder work on the Youngs River project.

Also next week the Oregon Department of Transportation will continue work on the Astoria Bridge. The project involves recoating the steel on the northern and southern sides of the Columbia River bridge along U.S. Highway 101 north of Astoria.

The scheduled work includes the installation of work area containment on the southern side and coating structural steel above and below the bridge deck. There will be a 35 mph speed limit, and flaggers will control single lane traffic. In addition, the signalized intersection at the north end of the bridge will be turned off and controlled by flaggers. Lane delays of up to 20 minutes will be allowed anytime on weekdays and weekends. 

Along Oregon Highway 202 (Nehalem Highway), a crew will work on a project that consists of replacing the Nehalem River (Banzer) bridge just east of the junction with Oregon Highway 103 (Fish Hawk Highway).

Work will include rebuilding the roadway. Traffic has been switched over to the new side of the bridge and roadway alignment. Temporary traffic signals will control single lane traffic through the project area along the new roadway alignment 24 hours a day. Flaggers will control single lane traffic; expect delays of up to 20 minutes.
