• The Lewis and Clark Bridge at Longview, Wash., will be closed to all traffic this weekend.

The bridge will be closed beginning at 11 p.m. Friday and remain shut down until 5:30 a.m. Monday.

The closure was originally scheduled for earlier this month, but was postponed due to poor weather.

All closures are weather-dependent and may be cancelled and rescheduled. For the most up-to-date information, call the project hotline at (866) 427-4630 or check the Web site

• Repair work on the Old Youngs Bay Bridge will close the span to traffic for most of the day Sunday. The bridge is scheduled to close at 7 a.m. and should reopen by 5 p.m., according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.

Maintenance workers plan to realign the drawbridge's center pin locking mechanism, which ensures that both leaves of the span align properly when closing.

Sunday's closure is the first of three planned for the repair project. During the work, traffic will be detoured to the New Youngs Bay Bridge.
