The North Coast State Forest Coalition will host a public meeting about land exchanges in Clatsop County at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the upstairs meeting room, Lightbox Photographic, 1045 Marine Drive for those interested in the future of Clatsop State Forests. NCSFC’s Bob Van Dyk will be the presenter. Refreshments will be served.

The Oregon Department of Forestry has listed many parcels as possible land exchanges to private companies. Parcels of concern for the NCSFC include large areas of Brownsmead as well as Hug Point. The public is encouraged to come and learn what this means and what opportunities exist for public comment on these exchanges.

The land exchange document for Brownsmead is available at www.oregon.gov/odf/BOARD/docs/2013_January/BOFATTCH_20130109_B_01.pdf
