St. Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic ?Church, 1465 Grand Ave., will hold the Sacrament of reconciliation (confession) from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturdays after the 8 a.m. weekly Mass. 

Week day Masses are held daily at 8 a.m., plus there is a 9 a.m. Mass on Tuesdays with the students of St. Mary, Star of the Sea School. 

Each Thursday, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is available from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Three fourth Sunday of Easter Masses will be held Sunday. At the 8:30 a.m. Mass, the lector will be Ralph Mansfield, and the greeters will be Dan and Karen Leedom.

Bishop Kenneth Steiner of the Portland Archdiocese will give the Sacrament of Confirmation at the 10:30 a.m. Sunday Mass to the high school group and adults who were baptized on Holy Saturday. The lector will be Bev Crosby, the greeters will be Erik Wilson family and Jill Stokeld, and Margaret Heyen will handle the children's liturgy.

Following the Mass, a blessing will be given to the newly refinished Stations of the Cross. Parishioners will then convene in the school auditorium for the confirmation reception and blessing of the newly remodeled auditorium.

At the 1 p.m. Spanish Mass, the lector will be Ramon Alcantar, the translator will be Yolie Turner and Gail Cameron will play the guitar.

Bingo will be at 6 p.m. Sunday in the school auditorium, 1411 Grand Ave.

The St. Vincent de Paul food pantry is in need of canned soup and top ramen. The volunteer committee is in need of more volunteers. Those who are interested should call coordinator Sue Schindele at (503) 738-0437.

Tickets are still available for the Star of the Sea Auction, "Totally Awesome time ... the 80s," which will be held in the school gym on May 1.
