CANNON BEACH - The city budget was passed with no trouble in Cannon Beach Tuesday, along with agreements to accept state revenues, set parking fees and adopt a budget for the Cannon Beach Road District.

The projected revenue and expenditures are $13,966,208, a 12-percent increase from fiscal year 2004-05's $12,437,115. Fiscal year 2003-04 had revenues closer to $9 million, but Interim City Manager Gene Halliburton said revenues have increased from taxes, licenses, water and sewer revenues, permits, fees and fines.

Major expenses include the construction of the new wastewater treatment plant and replacement of the Matanuska Pump Station. Personnel expenses increased by 6 percent.
